The Anaheim Public Library offers many job search, career development, and professional training resources. Use many of these free tools from your home computer or visit the library for even more - including a job search kiosk, newspapers, books, reference materials, and computer classes to sharpen your skills. Every library branch offers free wireless access, public computers, and Reference staff to direct you with your research strategies.Jobs Kiosk

Job Search Kiosks 
Job Kiosks provide Monster.com and OC Register job listings along with free print stations. Some job listings allow for immediate online application.

Southern California Employment Opportunities, including City of Anaheim, City of Los Angeles, and local college job postings, are displayed near the Job Search Kiosks.

Free Job Search Workshops
A variety of Employment Development Dept sponsored workshops 
are offered at Haskett Branch Library in both english and spanish. Check the current schedule.

Computer Use Card ApplicationFree Computer Workshops
Our skilled Librarians offer a variety of free computer classes each month to sharpen your skills. Check the latest schedules, and call or stop by to reserve a spot as space is limited and classes fill up quickly.

Business and Career databases online 
The Library subscribes to many electronic directories, which are researched and compiled by information specialists to direct your searches to quaility information and articles you can trust. Most databases will require a library card number if you are not at a library computer. Need a library card?

Business & Company Resource Center 
A fully integrated resource bringing together company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals. Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information.

Learning Express Library (Learn-a-Test)
Free access to interactive practice exams and test preparation materials on-line. Offers a real-time test taking experience, instant scoring, and individual recommendations. Covers a broad selection of occupational, academic, and Job Searchcitizenship tests.

    Online Article Resources
At Central Library, print copies are available for the past three months, and microfilm dates back several decades. Back issue stock at other branches varies depending on available space.

The
Anaheim Workforce Center is an innovative "one stop" approach to meet employment demands of both businesses and job seekers. Supported by on-line electronic technology and a network of partner agencies, the Center brings employers and job seekers together at a single point of access. Provides use of computers, telephones, fax, copy machines, and typewriters.

Specialized staff assist eligible recipients with the following services:

  • ROP (technical and vocational training)
  • YEOP (for youth ages 16 to 21)
  • Veterans Services
  • Dept of Rehabilitation
  • Senior program (age 55+)
  • Resume workshops are offered each month
